Officials say the defendant had a “day of drinking” in Fort Myers before encountering another driver on the road. She then tailgated the other vehicle before surging ahead and brake-checking the eventual victim.
This caused the victim to swerve to avoid a collision. She subsequently struck a guardrail and ended up in a canal, suffering fatal injuries in the process.
