Conveniently located in Cape Coral, Florida and easily accessible from Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres and Punta Gorda, Robert Foley Law, P.A., is a local law practice providing the community with excellent legal representation at a reasonable price. As a boutique practice, Robert Foley Law is not concerned with volume or quantity. Robert Foley opened his practice with a core mission to provide effective legal representation focused on client service. Robert Foley Law limits its caseload to ensure that each client receives quality legal services with the time, attention and dedication they need.
Prior to becoming involved in the legal profession, Robert served 10 years in the United States Army where he was an aviator and paratrooper. In 1992, he attended the New England School of Law, graduating and becoming a member of the Massachusetts Bar in 1995. While in Massachusetts, Robert provided legal services in criminal law, insurance defense and federal contracting.
In 1996, Robert Foley became a Special Agent for the FBI. He retired from the FBI after 20 years of service in 2016. His assignments spanned multiple FBI field offices in legal, investigative and leadership roles, culminating with his appointment as the Special Agent in Charge of the Detroit Field Office. He also held a human resources executive position in FBI Headquarters and was an attorney in the FBI’s Office of General Counsel. Mr. Foley served as a designated legal advisor for the FBI for 16 years addressing administrative, transactional, criminal, statutory and contracting issues as needed. Mr. Foley’s investigative background includes public corruption, white-collar crime, counterterrorism, violent gangs, undercover operations and wire taps. He served on the FBI’s SWAT Team, was an FBI Firearms Instructor and Police Instructor, and was a pilot in the FBI’s helicopter and fixed-wing surveillance programs.
Upon retiring from the FBI, Mr. Foley became a prosecutor for the State Attorney’s Office (SAO) in the 20th Judicial Circuit in Florida where he litigated criminal matters. In September, of 2017, Mr. Foley left the SAO to open Robert Foley Law, P.A.
Robert’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts from Rhode Island College in 1986, a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University in 1990, and a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 1995. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Massachusetts and Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also fluent in the Spanish language.
Robert Foley Law is dedicated to contributing to the community. Toward that end, it will endeavor to provide, pro bono, legal representation for one active case at all times to address the legal issues of special needs children.
